My Favourite Web Sites

The following links point to some of my favourite web sites - I hope you find something here that interests you.

Although I work in IT I appreciate that for many people a computer is just a necessary evil which they have to endure in order to do their job. Consequently you have to be patient when dealing with users who sometimes think their computer is being deliberately difficult.
However here is a site dedicated to the difficulties of using computers and the difficulties caused by using computers. There is also a nice section aimed at keeping all so-called "professional" computer users humble:

Some of the companies I have worked for originated in the days when the Web belonged to the Military or Academic institutions and don't have web sites Of those who do have one, they are largely uninteresting corporate sites. Linux seems to be one of those things people either love or hate. But even if you aren't looking for an alternative to your present operating system, getting to grips with Linux can be a great way about learning more about a number of areas of computing.
Redhat is one of the most popular Linux distributions, while Mandrake Linux is among one of the easiest distributions for those new to Linux to install:
